Effective fever treatment?

Hi all! I'd like to know what treatment you prefer for fever reduction.

So many medicines out there, including Advil, Tylenol, and similar drugs, so I want to know what gives you the best results.
Are you more into store-bought medicine or do you trust home remedies as well?
How long does it take for them to reduce the fever? Looking forward to your replies!
